Mission Statement
To foster a vibrant community of photographers of all skill levels who are passionate about learning, sharing, and growing through the art of photography. We aim to inspire creativity, encourage collaboration, and provide opportunities for personal and artistic development in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Goals and Objectives
1. Skill Development
- Offer learning opportunities through workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and themed challenges.
- Support member-led knowledge sharing and discussion at regular meetings.
- Invite guest speakers, where feasible, to broaden members’ exposure to diverse practices and perspectives.
- Encourage creative exploration through photo walks, exhibitions, and challenges that inspire experimentation and growth.
2. Constructive Feedback and Mentorship
- Provide supportive spaces for image sharing and critique that help members grow through thoughtful dialogue.
- Encourage experienced members to mentor newcomers and contribute to special interest groups, fostering leadership and club sustainability.
3. Community Engagement
- Promote photography in the wider community through public exhibitions, outreach, and participation in local events.
- Showcase members' work on the club website and other platforms to celebrate accomplishments and raise the club’s profile.
4. Social Connection
- Strengthen friendships and connection through regular meetings, outings, and collaborative projects that celebrate our shared passion.
- Create opportunities to reduce social isolation through inclusive, welcoming participation.
5. Inclusivity and Accessibility
- Welcome photographers from diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and photographic styles.
- Structure meetings, events, and programs to ensure everyone feels respected, valued, and able to participate meaningfully.

Code of Conduct
NWPC is committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all members. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for how members engage with one another and participate in club activities.
As a member of NWPC, you are expected to:
- Treat others with courtesy and respect at all times, both in person and online.
- Help foster an inclusive space where individuals of all genders, races, backgrounds, abilities, and photographic interests feel welcomed and valued.
- Encourage and support fellow members by sharing knowledge, listening openly, and appreciating different viewpoints.
- Participate constructively in club activities and teamwork—your involvement strengthens our community.
- Avoid any discriminatory, harassing, or bullying behaviour. Report concerns promptly to a member of the club executive.
- Be receptive to feedback and reflect on the impact of your words and actions.
- Speak up respectfully if you observe behaviour that contradicts the club’s values.
- Respect all local laws, including those related to trespassing, public conduct, and photography. Obtain consent when photographing individuals as required by law.
By upholding these principles, we contribute to a safe, creative, and collaborative environment where everyone can thrive.
