The event will be held on September 1, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

This year’s theme is Photography Is a Verb—a reminder that photography is about curiosity, creativity, learning, and making images, not simply owning a camera.

So, we’re starting the year by asking: What have you been doing with your photography?  We’d like members to bring something from their recent photography to share with the club. It could be a short slide show of up to 4 minutes, up to 6 images to show and talk about, a photographic project you’ve been working on, or really anything photographic you’d like to share.

No masterpieces required. We’d simply like to see what people have been photographing, experimenting with, learning — or perhaps struggling with — over the summer and the past few months.

We’ll also take some time to look ahead to the coming club year, with a preview of presentations, workshops, outings, competitions, themes and other opportunities to get involved.

For newer members, we’ll give a brief introduction to the club website and how it fits into our programs, along with a short introduction to CAPA and the opportunities available through individual membership.

Come prepared to share, catch up with everyone, and hopefully leave with something that makes you want to pick up your camera.
