Comments for this Competition

Nature is everywhere—even in the middle of a city—and this month we’re looking for it. Urban Nature is about showing how plants and wildlife adapt to human-made spaces. The key is to include some sign of the built environment: pavement, fences, buildings, signs, or even litter. That “hand of man” is what tells the story. You might find a flower growing through a crack in the sidewalk, a squirrel perched on a traffic light, or ivy climbing a brick wall. These images show a coexistence that’s easy to overlook. Look closely—you’ll find more than you expect.
