Autumn is one of the most photogenic times of the year, and this month we’re going to celebrate its full range of colour and texture. Think of glowing golds, fiery reds, and deep browns—the leaves, the trees, the grasses, and that gorgeous soft light we get this time of year. You could capture a landscape bursting with fall foliage or zoom in close to find tiny details like veins on a single leaf.
This is a great chance to experiment with white balance and saturation. You could even create a composition that’s dominated by just one colour. Ask yourself: how do these colours make me feel, and how can I get that into my photo? Try using the season’s light to its fullest, too—warm sunrise and sunset tones can really make autumn’s palette come alive.
