Comments for this Competition

This month, we’re seeking out beauty in the imperfect. Inspired by the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi, we’ll photograph things that are weathered, aged, or quietly fading away. Think cracked pottery, peeling paint, rusted tools, dry grass catching the light, or a long-forgotten bench.
The point is to slow down and appreciate objects and scenes that might otherwise go unnoticed. Wabi-sabi reminds us that beauty often comes from history, character, and change, not just from what’s shiny and new.
