Most photography training focuses on the technical—the gear, the settings, and the "rules." But what makes a photograph resonate emotionally? In this presentation, Manfred takes us deeper, exploring how thoughtful composition and a sense of emotional connection can elevate an image from competent to compelling.

In his talk Manfred will address two elements of an effective image. 1) how the elements of the image are organized. Composition including use of (negative) space and distracting elements in the image. 2) How a strong image creates an emotional connection with the viewer - mood, impact, subject and imagination.
