Modern cameras are sophisticated and do a lot of automated image processing in camera. However, post processing is an opportunity to enhance your image to match your artistic vision. There are many reasons why you might want to post-process an image, such as to: Improve the quality and appearance of the image by adjusting the exposure, contrast, color, sharpness, and other parameters. Express your artistic vision and creativity by applying different effects, filters, styles, or transformations to the image. Overcome the limitations of your camera or the shooting conditions by correcting for distortion, noise, blur, or other flaws.

A number of club photographers will discuss their intent when taking the image and demonstrate how they moved from initial shot to the final image through post processing.
