Outing - Britannia Shipyards Historic Site



The event will be held on November 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Britannia Shipyards Historic Site, located in Steveston, is an authentic representation of a once thriving community of canneries, boat yards and residences. It has several buildings with exhibits that tell the stories of multi-ethnic residents, like Japanese, Chinese, European and First Nations, that lived and worked there.

There will be a lot of opportunities to practice Still Life Photography and shoot for upcoming Themes, ‘Give Me Shelter’, ‘Backlit’, ‘Culture’, just to name a few.

Meet up location: Parking Lot located at the west entrance.

Transportation

Driving or carpool - Their address is 5180 Westwater Drive, Richmond.

Public transit – From Richmond-Brighouse Canada Line sky train station, take bus #402, #403 or #407 to the stop nearest Railway Ave and Moncton St. From there, walk approx. 10 mins to the site.
