The event was held on March 21, 2023 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Member Feedback Discussion
Tonight's meeting is an opportunity for members to share feedback on each other's photography. An important part of our growth as photographers is to receive feedback on our work. This is an important purpose of the Club - to to improve our skills through club activities and involvement with other photography enthusiasts. We see our work and know why we took the photograph and what we wanted it to communicate to others. But are we successful? The only way we know if by obtaining feedback from others who view the photograph.
Members are encouraged to submit up to three (3) images prior to the meeting. The images will be shown and through a moderated discussion, members will provide feedback. Moderators will help guide the discussions to ensure they are positive and both members and the photographers get the most benefit.
Feel free to submit photographs at both ends of the spectrum: those you are pleased with or those that just did not work and you are not sure what could have been done to be a better photograph in your mind.
Members will share what we see as strengths of the photographs, and offer constructive suggestions for change. We will have comfortable discussions and learn from different perspectives. Members will hear feedback on their own work as well as hear how others see a range of photographs. We will be able to use this feedback in our work to compose impactful photographs.
Please participate and enjoy. Members can submit up to three (3) to the special Feedback Gallery that will be opened for the session. Be prepared to provide a brief statement about the photograph(s) you took. This can include how you hoped to address challenges of the scene, some of the decisions you made in your camera settings, or your goal in taking the photograph.
