DESCRIPTION:\n
The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is a National Historic Site of Canada loc
ated in Steveston village in Richmond, British Columbia. Built in 189
4, the cannery echoes the days when it was the leading producer of ca
nned salmon in British Columbia. Today it is a museum with interactiv
e exhibits, film, and tours that demonstrate the Cannery's important
role in the history of Canada's West Coast fishing industry. \n
\n
Walk back in time through one of B.C.’s historic treasures. Sha
fts of light, weathered wood, and industrial pipes create striking sc
enes for storytelling through your lens.\n
\n
No restrictions on hand-held Photography. The building is full of dre
amy light, artifacts from the days of canning along with coloured ste
el pipes and other equipment. Photographers may very well end of up w
ith good candidate photos for the January Theme – Objects Tell
a Story.\n
