Here we will collect any articles penned by our members (or others who wish to donate!). Got a favorite tip or technique? We want our members to share their knowledge.
Typically these will be "how-to" type articles on photography techniques, but some members may wish to document a particular event or trip they went on, supplementing their photos with the written word.

- Creating B/W Images from Colour: (by Derek Carlin) Sometimes you want to try your hand at the classic look of Black and White photography, but your perfect photo is in colour. How do you convert it then? This short article describes 4 software tools (the ones used by the author) to help you do so. (submitted February 26, 2008)
Lens Talks

Lens Talks is a series of short articles on the most fundamental of a photographer's accessories: the lens.
Keith brings his years of experience to help answer questions that most often trouble
new photographers (and even some of us "old timers!"). There are several misconceptions about
how lenses affect your image, especially for those transitioning from film to digital SLRs.
Note: these "talks" are also

Here members will find manuals and articles on how to use the less obvious aspects of our site. (at least as fast as I can write them!) They may not be pretty, but they should lead you through the steps needed to perform common tasks.
